We were honoured to take part in a really exciting project with Carers West Sussex who wanted to find out the impact of coaching with unpaid carers and with incorporating a coaching approach across their staff team. We trained a cohort of their staff in using a coaching approach in their work with carers, and offered 1-2-1 coaching to a group of carers. The project was evaluated by an independent team from the University of Kent who found that 'there can be little doubt about the positive impact of coaching on carers’ lives and wellbeing... one carer summed up the views of many by describing it as ‘transformative’'
